Faculty
Faculty (noun) mental or physical abilities a person is born with; a particular skill a person has; all the teachers in a college or a university.
The abilities, physical and mental, a person is born with are their faculties. A person's faculties include his ability to see, hear, speak, think, understand, etc.. When you are in full possession of your faculties, you have all the physical and mental abilities normal to a human being, functioning well. A particular ability a person has for something is their faculty for it. You have the faculty for grasping things quickly if you have the ability to understand things quickly. All the teachers in a college are its faculty. The faculty of chemistry, for example, includes the professors of chemistry in the college/university.
In spite of his advanced age, John retains all his faculties. Though he is eighty-nine years old, he can still see, hear, and think clearly.
Clara has very good faculty for absorbing information. She has a quick grasp of things and her ability to analyze any information she gathers is really surprising.
